Back to School Crafty Video Series - Day One - Giveaway!

Hi there! With everyone already diving into school or getting ready to, it seemed like the perfect time to do a video series that features crafty projects with a school theme.  I will have 7 episodes worth of projects and each day am paired up with a couple other talented crafters sharing videos on YouTube as well! Let's dive into my first project which is a boy scrapbook layout!
This is a very simple layout to recreate  but I also think with the colors it packs a punch!

Let's check out the video for Day One:

Totally manageable right? I love that Doodlebug Design makes it so very easy!

Let's talk about the giveaway! I have a prize package of a Paper House Planner, an assortment of stickers from SRM Stickers, and a $10 gift card.  All of that adds up to be worth over $50!  To enter you just need to head to YouTube and be a subscriber of my channel, then leave a comment. I am also giving entries for leaving comments on the videos of everyone participating this you have 21 chances if you comment each day on each video!

Best Friends Layout for Stuck?! Sketches!

I'm running behind on this as we premiered this beautiful sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches on the 15th!  I had a video for it that got messed I think I just put this on the backburner!  Alas, I'm finally sharing the sketch and what I created with it!  Here's the August 15th Sketch!
I love the diagonal design on this!  So much so that I think I may even play with it a second time!

Here's my layout that I made with it.  Bright and colorful packed with the beautiful "On a Whim" collection by Amy Tan!  I fussy cut all of those big flowers out of a patterned paper.  My background papers come from Doodlebug Design and are a softer shade of the yellow and pink in order to avoid having the whole thing come out way too bright!

Here's my Supply List with Affiliate Thumbnails - Click on any of them to check them out at and as always - Thanks for Your Support!

Using Planner Products on a Scrapbook Layout

It can be easy to see how Scrapbook Products can be used in our planner but maybe a little less obvious how to make it work the other way around.  Today I challenged myself to use primarily planner products on this layout for Paper House Productions.

In the video below I walk you thru my whole process in creating this outdoors layout:

There certainly is lots of fun to be had with this huge variety of planner products!  Here's some close-ups of my clusters of products.
To create my title I combined a cardstock sticker and puffy sticker.  Then I created clusters around it featuring sticker flakes and a puffy clip.

This area combines puffy stickers, epoxy stickers, sticker flakes, and rice paper borders - whew!

Here's affiliate thumbnails to most of the products I used - thanks for your support!

How to use Adhesive Dots as Embellishments on a Scrapbook Layout

Some days a clever use for a product strikes and this was one of those times.  Why not use Adhesive Dots from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to create a unique textural embellishment on my scrapbook layout?  Here's what I ended up creating!

See all those glitter filled circles throughout the layout? Those were all orginally Adhesive Dots!  Here's a quick video walk thru of the whole layout including the Adhesive Dots technique!

Not too complicated is it?!?  Any can I get a hooray for a minimal glitter mess too?  That doesn't happen very often!

August Planner Spread in Kawaii Planner - Paper House Productions

I just got my new Kawaii planner from Paper House Productions and it is so much fun!  I could tell you all about it, but why not jump into the process video for this week's planner spread instead?

Isn't the concept of a Kawaii style absolutely fun?  Here's some close-ups of my creation:
Here's the full spread, so much sparkle and whimsy going on!

I'm smitten with these puffy clips.  They are seriously unbelievably fun! So much fun that I had to include two of them!  The one above I added onto a slip on pocket.

I used this puffy clip to hold my place in the planner.

Here you can see several blocks of my planner filled with the coordinating planner stickers as well as part of the rice borders and puffy stickers.
